HaloDepot - Centre for Halocarbon Recovery
The Quebec HaloDepot centre is where we treat all end-of-life systems containing refrigerant gases. This site is where concerned citizens can leave old domestic appliances and contractors can leave industrial, refrigerated equipment.
We are pleased to be able to recover the halocarbons from these items at the site of Option Métal Recyclé du Québec (OMRQ), our partner in this endeavour.
Note that this service is completely free of charge!

The Quebec HaloDepot is our end-of-life centre, operating in partnership with Option Métal Récyclé du Québec (OMRQ). This centre, for the management of halocarbons, is by far the best performing operation of its kind with regards to the regulations that center around the 3R waste hierarchy.
Generation HaloCAREbure is the only company of its kind that has put all the necessay effort in purity analysis of refrigerant gases coming from dismantled equipment.
Our objective is to give these gases a second life. More than 90 % of our recovered HFC and HCFC refrigerants are reclaimed rather transformed into carbon credits through elimination.
The 3R waste hierarchy is our key ojective.

Our Partner, Option Métal Recyclé du Québec
We are pleased to work alongside of Option Métal Recycle du Québec. OMRQ is a multi-stakeholder co-op and non-profit organisation. Since 2000, OMRQ has been present in the greater region of Quebec City employing a workforce of some 20 workers.
OMRQ is proud to offer superior work benefits when compared to the average workplace. As well, OMRQ provides reintegration opportunities for those who are seeking to better their lives.
